PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob paid tribute to his wife Datin Seri Muhaini Zainal Abidin for being by his side throughout the good times and bad.

He said she was always by his side after they got to know each other when he was 19 before they tied the knot in 1986, which was also the year he joined politics at the age of 26.

“Nani is a very simple person and always doesn’t want to be under the spotlight, that’s why she is rarely seen.

“Thank you Ni, for always being by my side. From the time I had nothing until today.

“Hard times and good times, we are together,” wrote Ismail Sabri on Facebook yesterday. The post showed a photograph of Muhaini fixing the button on Ismail Sabri’s baju Melayu.
