Administered vaccine doses to hit 17 million

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s total number of vaccine doses administered since the launch of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme is nearing the 17-million mark. According to Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said, a total of 16,904,896 vaccine doses had been administered as of Saturday.

In a Twitter post, he said a total of 5,397,826 people in Malaysia had received their full two doses as of 11.59pm on Saturday.

“A total of 11,507,070 people have received their first jab,” he added.

On the daily vaccination rate, Dr Adham said 417,738 doses were administered on Saturday, with 284,672 people getting their first jab and 133,066 people getting their second jab. — Bernama
