Covid-19: 12,528 new cases for cumulative total of 905,851


PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia recorded 12,528 new cases, bringing the nation's cumulative total to 905,851.

In the same 24-hour period, there was a record high of 138 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,866.

There were also 6,629 recoveries, which means 779,171 have recovered from the disease nationwide.

There are still 908 patients in intensive care units, with 425 requiring ventilation support.

In a tweet on Saturday, (July 17), Health director-general Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor recorded 4,985 cases, the highest among all states.

This was followed by Kuala Lumpur (1,740 cases), Negeri Sembilan (1,280), Kedah (701) and followed by Sabah (647).
