Wee: 80% of public transport frontliners to be vaccinated by Oct 31

YONG PENG: At least 80% of frontliners in the public transport sector must be vaccinated by Oct 31, according to the target set by the Transport Ministry.

Transport Minister Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong said since kicking off the Covid-19 vaccination programme for the maritime industry on June 25, about 10,000 port and maritime workers had been inoculated.“About 22,000 doses have also been given to those working in the aviation industry at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport. The process is still ongoing.
