Covid-19: All-time high of 9,353 cases recorded in one day


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded an all-time high of 9,353 Covid-19 cases recorded in a single day, tweeted the Health Ministry on Saturday (July 10).

This takes the number of cumulative cases to 827,191.

This surpassed the previous high of 9,180 cases on Friday (July 9), which went past the 9,020 cases recorded on May 29.

In the same 24-hour period, there were 87 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 6,067.

There were also 5,910 recoveries, which means 737,103 have recovered from the disease nationwide.

There are still 959 patients in intensive care units, with 451 requiring ventilation support.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 4,277, followed by KL (1,398) and Melaka (835).
