PUTRAJAYA: Nearly 100 new Covid-19 clusters from workplaces have been detected in the span of one week, says the Health Ministry.

Its minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba said the 96 workplace outbreaks contribute to 67.6% of new clusters between June 13 and June 19.

“In epidemiology week 24, from June 13 to June 19, there were 96 new clusters from workplaces, 31 from the community, eight from high-risk groups, five from detention centres and two involving education institutions.

“There were also no new clusters from religious activities in the same week,” said Dr Adham at the weekly Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) press conference.

In total, there were 9,197 new Covid-19 cases linked to clusters throughout epidemiology week 24.

The number of active clusters in epidemiology week 24 is 824, an increase from 761 in week 23.
