Pub in Sibu raided for operating during lockdown, 38 patrons issued compound notices


SIBU: Police raided a pub on Jalan Pahlawan that was operating despite the nationwide lockdown on Sunday (June 13).

Sibu OCPD Asst Comm Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said a police team led by Deputy Supt Arifin Bahar found 38 customers, including 14 women on the premises.

"All of them were issued RM2, 000 compound notices.

"The female owner of the pub was issued a RM10, 000 compound notice for operating in violation of the lockdown," he said.
