King continues to hold audience with political leaders on Thursday (June 10)

KUALA LUMPUR: Political leaders continue to drive to Istana Negara to have an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah (pic).

First to arrive on Thursday (June 10) was PAS deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man at around 10.20am in a black sports utility vehicle.

He was representing party president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang who could not make it due to illness.

It is learned that the King will meet with other leaders throughout the day, including MCA president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong and Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal.

Also scheduled to meet the King on Thursday is Parti Pejuang Tanah Air pro-tem president Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad.

Meanwhile, Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to meet the King at 2.30pm on Friday (June 11).

The meeting with the King is to deliberate the current political landscape amidst the Emergency that is set to end on Aug 1.

The King is set to chair a special meeting involving the Malay Rulers on June 16 to discuss efforts to combat Covid-19 during the Emergency period.
