Covid-19: 7,105 new cases bring total to 579,462


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 7,105 new Covid-19 cases on Tuesday (June 1), bringing the cumulative total to 579,462.

Selangor recorded the highest number of cases at 2,068, followed by Kuala Lumpur (817) and Sarawak (703).

In the same 24-hour period, there were 71 fatalities, bringing the death toll to 2,867.

There were also 6,083 recoveries, which means 496,121 have recovered from the disease nationwide.

There are still 872 patients in intensive care units, with 419 requiring ventilator support.
