Cabinet ministers, deputy ministers to forego three months' salary, says PM


PETALING JAYA: All Cabinet ministers and deputy ministers will forego their salary for three months starting June, says the Prime Minister.

Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said their salaries would be channelled to a fund for expenses related to Covid-19.

He said this on Monday (May 31) when announcing measures ahead of the total lockdown from June 1-14.

Muhyiddin also announced an RM40bil aid package for the people to face economic challenges during the lockdown.
