Total lockdown: All tertiary education activities to be held online

PETALING JAYA: All teaching and learning activities for higher education institutions under the Higher Education Ministry will be conducted online, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Listing activities allowed during the 14-day lockdown from June 1-14, Ismail Sabri said students would be allowed to sit for examinations under international examination bodies at international and expatriate schools.

"Students sitting for international examinations and professional bodies as well undergoing research activities that require laboratory facilities at higher education institutions will be allowed.

"Students who are in hostels other than universities or education institutions under the Education Ministry will be allowed to remain," he said.
