SEREMBAN: The government should immediately acquire more World Health Organisation-approved Covid-19 vaccines if it wants to effectively fight the virus, says Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

The Umno deputy president said the government should also allow organisations and companies to acquire these vaccines from abroad so more Malaysians could be vaccinated faster.

“At the rate we are going, we just do not have a choice because the virus has spread into the community. The priority is to break the chain. Everything else can wait, ” he said when contacted.

Mohamad said mass vaccination and testing was the only way to check the spread of the virus.
