Two mega-sized facilities to replace four vaccination centres in KL, says Khairy

PUTRAJAYA: Four vaccination centres (PPVs) in Kuala Lumpur will be moved to two mega-sized facilities to ease overcrowding.

National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister Khairy Jamaluddin said the Titiwangsa Stadium and Manjalara community hall PPVs would be moved to and start operating from the Malaysian International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) on May 31.

Meanwhile, the Muhibbah Community Complex and the Desa Tasik Sports Complex PPVs will move to the Axiata Arena in Bukit Jalil and will open from June 7.

"The taskforce has decided to move the four PPVs to new locations due to congestion and overcrowding in the current facilities.

"Those affected will be informed on the change of location as well as their appointment details," he said in his weekly media briefing on Tuesday (May 25).

Khairy said those who had received their appointments from May 31 to June 6 at the Titiwangsa Stadium and the Manjalara community hall PPVs would be informed of the changes," he said.
