Khairy: Media practitioners to get their vaccine appointments soon

PUTRAJAYA: Media practitioners will be given their vaccination appointment soon, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

The National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme coordinating minister said that the names of 5,867 media practitioners from 144 registered agencies had been submitted to the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF).

“So the CITF has decided to give appointments for media practitioners as soon as possible after receiving their details. This is in line with the aim to give protection to frontliners including teachers and media practitioners, ” he said on Tuesday (May 25).

In April, Khairy had said that Malaysian journalists will receive their Covid-19 vaccine shots in May.

Malaysia is currently in the second phase of its Covid-19 vaccination programme which is meant for the elderly, the disabled and those with comorbidities.
