Yong Chee Kong released after police record his statement

KOTA KINABALU: Police have recorded the statement of Yong Chee Kong over an alleged offer to donate two million doses of Covid-19 vaccines to Penang.

Yong was allowed to leave the Kepayan police headquarters at 2pm on Friday (May 21).

Sabah Police Commissioner Datuk Hazani Ghazali confirmed that they had recorded his statement.

The investigations are linked to police reports lodged in Penang.
