PETALING JAYA: The recent arrest of several teenagers by police in two separate cases went against provisions of the Child Act and the Convention on the Rights of Child (CRC), says the Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam)
Its commissioner for child affairs Prof Datuk Noor Aziah Mohd Awal (pic) said she was troubled over reports that the arrests were carried out in disregard of the protection offered to child suspects.
