Covid-19: Over two million vaccine jabs given so far, says Health Minister

PETALING JAYA: More than two million doses of Covid-19 vaccine have now been administered in the country, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

The Health Minister said the tally stood at 2.07 million vaccine doses given to people living in Malaysia as of Tuesday (May 18).

The number who have received one dose is 1.27 million people, while 793,463 have received two doses, he said on Thursday (May 20).

Vaccination rates are also picking up, with Tuesday recording the highest daily number of injections so far at 76,551.

For comparison, on May 13, the seven-day average of vaccine jabs administered in a day was only 33,541.

Meanwhile, the total number of registrations for vaccine shots also increased to 10.2 million as of Tuesday.
