Suspect held for threatening to shoot driver after argument in Kajang


KAJANG: Police have arrested a man for allegedly threatening to shoot his driver, following an argument.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zaid Hassan said the incident occurred at around 1.22am on Saturday (May 1).

"The 28-year-old victim lodged a report on the incident at around 9.15am the same day, claiming he had been threatened by his employer at a house at Country Heights here.

"The two had just arrived at the suspect's house when they began arguing and the suspect threatened to shoot the victim if he left the house," he said in a statement on Sunday (May 2).

He said the suspect also hurled vulgarities at the victim before kicking him in the shoulder.

"The victim also alleged that the suspect damaged his motorcycle, causing him to seek help from passers-by to escape.

"We are investigating the case for criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt, committing mischief and causing damage, and wrongful restraint," he said, adding that the suspect was arrested at around 4.50pm on the same day.

He said the suspect has been remanded for two days to help with investigations.
