Johor DAP polls: Liew, allies sweep top spots

BATU PAHAT: Liew Chin Tong and members of his camp have been voted in at the Johor DAP polls.

Liew emerged third when he garnered a total of 561 votes behind Yeo Bee Yin and Teo Nie Ching.

Talk is rife that Liew will be appointed state chief for the third time.

His rivals, Dr Boo Cheng Hau, who received 495 votes, made it to the list while Tan Hong Pin, who received 485 votes, failed to do so.

The 15 committee members will elect another five to make up a total of 20 officials before electing the office bearers, including state chairman.
