PETALING JAYA: This is the first year that Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) is tested under the new education syllabus known as Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Menengah (KSSM). The curriculum takes over the long-standing Kurikulum Bersepadu Sekolah Menengah (KBSM) syllabus, the education standard for decades in Malaysia.
The change in syllabus entails an expansion of the subject learning content, some more than others.
