Health minister: Estimated 80,000 children in Malaysia need palliative care


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): An estimated 80,000, or 0.29% of children in Malaysia need palliative care, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba (pic).

He said as many as 28.5 out of the 10,000 population of children from the age of 0-18 years, or 25,000 to 30,000 children in the country suffer from chronic or terminal illnesses that required specific palliative care.
