KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had requested a RM10mil donation from a Singaporean entrepreneur for Yayasan Akalbudi, owned by him, through a trustee firm, the High Court was told.
Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) investigating officer Christ Sheldon Anak Merun said when Wong Sang Woo @ Wong Shuh Chain, director of Chia Bee Enterprise Sdn Bhd, met Ahmad Zahid in 2015, the accused said the contribution was to help the poor.
