KUALA LUMPUR: Tighter checks will be performed nationwide by the police from Friday (March 12) to ensure action is taken against those who flout standard operating procedures, especially those who travel interstate illegally, the Inspector-General of Police said.

Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador said all police personnel, especially those manning roadblocks, have been instructed to look out for those who violate Covid-19 SOPs.
