Covid-19: 1,529 new cases, Selangor still top with 726 cases


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia recorded 1,529 Covid-19 cases, on Monday (March 8), bringing the cumulative total to 314,989.

Selangor still recorded the highest number of new infections with 726 cases.

This was followed by Sarawak with 252 cases and Johor with 120 cases.

The other states with new infections were Negri Sembilan (89), Penang (76), Sabah and Kuala Lumpur with 71 each, Perak (49), Kelantan (28), Perlis (17), Terengganu (13), Kedah (nine), Melaka (four), Pahang (three) and Putrajaya (one).

Labuan did not record any new cases on Monday.
