Sarawak PKR: We can't stop members if they wish to leave party

SIBU: In politics, nobody is indispensable to their party, says PKR Sibu division coordinator Robert Lim.

He was commenting after Sarawak PKR chairman and Julau MP Larry Sng and Tebrau MP Stephen Choong left the party, declaring their full support to Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as independents.

"Everyone has their own choice. We cannot stop them and can only hope they will serve the rakyat and do the right thing for the people. Who knows, one day, they may rejoin us," he said on Sunday (Feb 28).

Sarawak PKR secretary-general Joshua Jobeng concurred with Lim.

"It is their freedom to cross over. Politics is like that and it can happen to any political party in the world," he said.

Joshua said though it was sad to see them leave the party, they had to accept reality.

"It is very sad but we have to move on. We need to regroup," he added.
