25 people nabbed in two entertainment outlet raids

KUALA LUMPUR: Brickfields police have detained 25 people in two separate raids at entertainment outlets.

"On Feb 11, at around 11.30pm, an entertainment outlet in Jalan Syed Putra was raided, with four people arrested.

"Of the four suspects, one is a local woman while the other three are Bangladeshi men. They are aged between 27 and 43," said Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar in a statement on Monday (Feb 15).

Then, on Feb 12, at around 10.30pm, another entertainment outlet, in Jalan Puchong, was raided.

Five people were arrested, including a local man.

Police also seized 0.5g of ganja and one Erimin 5 pill at the outlet.

"Compounds were also issued to around 60 men and 10 women that are believed to be customers there.

"Of the 70 people issued summons, 16 were also caught after testing positive for drugs," he said.
