MCO 2.0: Restaurant caretaker in Mutiara Damansara nabbed for allowing duo to dine in

PETALING JAYA: A restaurant caretaker was caught by police for allowing two customers to eat inside the eatery despite the enforcement of the movement control order.

"On Jan 14, at around 3pm, a 32-year-old foreigner was caught at a restaurant in Mutiara Damansara.

"Meanwhile, the two customers, both locals aged 28 and 38, were issued compounds of RM1,000," said Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal in a statement on Friday (Jan 15).

At the same time, another foreigner was detained at a car wash in Taman Mayang for failing to produce an authorisation letter to operate.

Only certain sectors are allowed to operate throughout the MCO.

ACP Nik Ezanee urged the public to comply with the MCO, which is currently being enforced until Jan 26.

"Failure to do so can lead to compounds of RM1,000, or being caught and charged in court according to the laws available," he said.
