East coast floods subside, more victims return home


KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): The flood situation in two east coast states in the peninsula continues to show improvement this morning when victims evacuated to temporary relief centres (PPS) fell to 2,312 compared to almost 5,000 on Monday (Dec 21) evening.

In Terengganu, the total number of victims was 1,218 from 321 families as at 8am on Tuesday (Dec 22) compared 4,139 people from 991 families the day before.
