Budget 2021: Three more ministries pass committee stage hurdle in Parliament

KUALA LUMPUR: The Budget 2021 allocations for a total of three ministries - Works, Transport, Science and Technology - have been passed at the committee stage in Parliament.

This means that allocations for a total of 13 ministries has been approved at the committee stage as of Dec 7 (Monday).

Allocations for the Science and Technology Ministry, as well as the Works Ministry, were passed via a simple voice vote in Parliament on Monday.

A bloc vote was called for the approval for allocations for the Transport Ministry, which saw 109 votes in support of the allocation, while 94 were against and 17 MPs weren’t present.
