Ex-Mardi researcher slashed to death in his home


KUALA LUMPUR: A former researcher of the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (Mardi) who was slashed to death by two burglars in his home in Bangsar was believed to have fought with the intruders.

Police said Dr Wan Hassan Wan Embong was believed to have been slashed with a machete by the burglars who entered the house through the kitchen window of the double-storey bungalow in Bukit Bandaraya yesterday.
