Gerik MP Hasbullah dies (updated)


PETALING JAYA: Gerik MP Datuk Hasbullah Osman has died, an aide has confirmed.

Hasbullah, who is also the chairman of the Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd, passed away at Hospital Raub at about 7pm on Monday (Nov 16).

Hasbullah was 63 years old.

When contacted, Gerik Umno deputy chief Datuk Aznel Ibrahim said Hasbullah suffered a heart attack on Monday at about 6.30pm.

“He died at Hospital Raub in Pahang at about 7pm. His family was with him.

“I am on my way there to help the family with arrangements to bring back his remains to Gerik, ” said Aznel.

Hasbullah, who was from Umno, won the Gerik parliamentary seat with a 5,528 majority over PAS’ Mohd Dahalan Ismail and PKR’s Ibrahim Mohd Hanafiah in the 14th General Election in 2018.
