Keeper of Rulers' Seal: The welfare of the people comes first

KUALA LUMPUR: The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Syed Danial Syed Ahmad has said that the King and the other eight Rulers considered implications of an emergency in context of the country's image, views of other countries, investor confidence, prosperity of country, people's livelihood and the welfare of the people.

"The King and the eight Rulers felt it is important to respect the check-and-balance mechanism between the various branches of government, and the role of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, which is to balance various demands to ensure justice and to check any abuse of power," said the Keeper of the Rulers' Seal.
