Home Minister Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

PETALING JAYA: All Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia MPs fully support Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, says party secretary-general Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainuddin.

Hamzah said allegations by Port Dickson MP Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that he has the support of the majority of MPs in the Dewan Rakyat to enable him to form a new government are baseless.

"Anwar's allegation is pure fiction," said Hamzah

The Home Minister added that Anwar's allegations had worried the rakyat, who are depending on the government to fight the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

"Bersatu calls upon all Malaysians to ignore Anwar and give their support to the Perikatan Nasional government to stop the transmission of Covid-19 and to repair the economy," the Larut MP said in a statement on Sunday (Oct 11).

On Oct 8, PKR president Anwar said he had been granted an audience with Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah on Tuesday (Oct 13) where he will present statutory declarations from MPs in support of his bid to be prime minister.
