KOTA KINABALU: As the political intrigue over who should be the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidate for Chief Minister rages, Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and his Bersatu counterpart Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor have left their meeting at Magellan Sutera Harbour for Istana Negeri to meet with TYT Tun Juhar Mahiruddin.
However, both are not revealing who would be chosen as the Chief Minister but Bung and Hajiji are both said to be front-runners for the post.
"The governor will decide," Bung said when asked if the chief minister will be from Barisan Nasional.
It is believed that meeting with the Governor will take place a at 2.30pm on Sunday (Sept 27).
Hajiji, who is the Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chief left the meeting at Magellan Sutera Harbour at 1.50pm with his deputy Datuk Masidi Manjun, claiming they needed rest.
Both were also tight-lipped when asked about the Chief Minister's position.
However, it is believed that a decision has yet to be made as Bersatu vice-president Mohd Rafiq Naizmohideen has claimed negotiations may still continue until late at night.
