KOTA KINABALU: An unidentified food deliveryman is earning praises from Sabahans when footage of him bracing against the floods in Kibabaig off Penampang near here to make his delivery went viral on social media.
In a video, the man is seen carrying a huge bag believed to be filled with food orders, wading through knee-high floodwaters at a residential area on Monday (Sept 14) night.
Social media users praised the man for being committed to his job despite the bad weather.
Many also advised others to refrain from ordering food via delivery during the rainy season.
Some even criticised the customer for ordering food even though the weather was so bad.
A commenter known as Patricia PJ said she hoped the person who made the order gave the deliveryman a generous tip.
Others advised those making food deliveries to stay safe and think of their safety first.
Kibabaig is among the many areas affected by various floods in Sabah following a heavy downpour since Monday (Sept 14) evening.
Other parts affected by floods are Penampang, Bundusan, Luyang and their surrounding areas.
The Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning alert for Sabah, with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected to last until Sept 16.
Areas affected are the interior such as Kuala Penyu and Beaufort, the West coast including Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Kota Belud as well as Kudat and Labuan.
