KOTA KINABALU: Eighteen-year-old Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) student Veveonah Mosibin is back on social media after about a week of keeping quiet following the remarks made by two deputy ministers recently.
She was seen proudly sharing photos of her latest activity on campus, which includes having dinner with Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin a few days ago.
As seen in her Instagram post, she had uploaded pictures of her with Khairy captioned "Thanks for visiting us, sir Khairy Jamaluddin".
On Sunday (Sept 13), she shared a selfie with Muhyiddin, with the caption "Stay awesome! It was such an honour for me and my parents to be invited to have dinner with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the eighth Prime Minister of Malaysia".
She also said that Muhyiddin is a humble and amazing person.
“Thank you so much, Tan Sri," she added.
It is obvious that Veveonah is putting the past behind her and choosing to move forward, positively.
The Kg Sapatalang girl from Sabah’s interior Pitas district rose to Internet fame after a video of her doing a "spend a night on the tree top challenge" for an online exam went viral.
She was, however, thrown into negative limelight when Deputy Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Zahidi Zainul Abidin and Kudat MP Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri accused her of lying about the exam and just making content for her YouTube channel.
Zahidi has since apologised over the matter.
