Bukit Aman announces promotions and reshuffle

PETALING JAYA: Comm Datuk Seri Abd Rahim Jaafar will be the new Bukit Aman Internal Security and Public Order Department director.

He takes over from previous director, Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, who has been promoted to Deputy Inspector-General of Police.

The latest transfer exercise also sees several high-level changes.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mazlan Lazim will now take over as Bukit Aman Logistics and Technology department director.

Federal Commercial Crime Investigations Department deputy director Comm Datuk Saiful Azly Kamaruddin will replace him as the city’s top cop.

Comm Datuk Razarudin Husain will take over as the Narcotic Crime Investigation Department.

In a statement on Tuesday (Aug 18), Bukit Aman IGP Secretariat Corporate Communications head Senior Asst Comm Datuk Asmawati Ahmad said the transfer exercise will take effect on Sept 21.
