Ismail Sabri: 357 arrested for breaching recovery MCO on Sunday (July 26)


PETALING JAYA (Bernama): Police arrested 357 people on Sunday (July 26) for breaching recovery movement control order (MCO) rules, says Senior Minister (Security) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

Of that number, 32 were remanded, two were released on police bail and compound fines were issued to the remaining 323.

Speaking at a press conference in Parliament, he said since Friday (July 24), 1,448 people had arrived at the country's entry points and were sent to six hotels and three public training institutes for the mandatory 14-day quarantine.

He also said police arrested four foreign nationals at roadblocks nationwide under “Op Benteng” for immigration offences. – Bernama
