KUALA LUMPUR: A picture depicting Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman as eating inside the Dewan Rakyat while proceedings are ongoing has caught the attention of social media users.

The pictures, posted by Friends of Biru on Facebook Thursday (July 16), had shown Syed Saddiq casually munching on packed food while typing away at his computer at his seat inside the Dewan.

“It is understood that it took place this morning at Parliament, ” said Friends of Biru.

The picture was believed to have been taken by a Perikatan Nasional MP.

Attempts to contact Syed Saddiq were futile at time of writing.

It is unsure which Standing Order that Syed Saddiq had contravened, as netizens chided the former Youth and Sports Minister for purportedly displaying unparliamentary conduct while proceedings are ongoing.

“It’s disrespectful to the Dewan Rakyat and the Speaker. No manners, ” said Facebook user Yasmin Hanifah.

Internet users were also taking the opportunity to troll Syed Saddiq, saying that perhaps the Muar MP was busy at work.

“Why not bring mee bandung as well?” said Zawawi Zainal.

Facebook user Mohd Arrfan said: "He is starving."
