IPOH: Only the national Umno leadership can make an announcement on its candidate should a by-election be called for the Slim state assembly seat, says Datuk Saarani Mohamad.
The Perak Umno and Barisan Nasional chairman said there would be a supreme council meeting on July 24, and an announcement could be made then.
