Rahang rep Mary Josephine expected to quit DAP

SEREMBAN: DAP's two-term Rahang assemblyman Mary Josephine Prittam Singh is likely to quit the party on Friday (July 10).

The 71-year-old DAP veteran is scheduled to hold a press conference on Friday to announce her decision.

It is understood that she would only quit the party but would continue to support Pakatan Harapan.

The party veteran is apparently upset with the decision of the state leadership not to endorse her choice of chairmen for the village community management councils announced by the state government on Wednesday (July 8).

Attempts to get a response from Mary Josephine were unsuccessful.

An aide when contacted confirmed a press conference has been scheduled for Friday morning.

"I can't say anything now. Please come for the press conference," he added.
