PUTRAJAYA: With many sections of society reopened due to the slowing down of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Health Ministry is not lifting restrictions on hospital visits just yet.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah (pic) said the threat of Covid-19 is still there at hospitals, and visitations will continue, subject to tight requirements.
“As of now, we still have restrictions for those who wish to visit family members who are hospitalised, as the risk of infection is still there.
“So, our advice is for people not to bring along children or elderly people to the hospitals.
“Those who come to the hospitals will still be screened to ensure they do not have symptoms.
“We won’t be opening up visitations to the public for now, ” said Dr Noor Hisham at the ministry’s Covid-19 press conference here Monday (June 22).
