PETALING JAYA: Returning Malaysians could be slapped with a RM1,000 compound for removing wristbands issued by the Health Ministry while under home quarantine, warns Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob (pic).
The Senior Minister said the wristband could only be removed after they are declared free of the disease.
"While they undergo quarantine at home, they must adhere to all the rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs) including wearing the wristband," he said.
On Saturday (June 13), 575 Malaysians landed at KL International Airport from Australia, South Africa, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Singapore, Qatar, Japan, the Netherlands and South Korea.
Out of that number, two were sent to hospital after testing positive for Covid-19 while the rest were put under home quarantine.
Those undergoing home quarantine are also required to download the MySejahtera app.
