Two PKR reps expected to jump ship, Kedah govt set to fall

SUNGAI PETANI: Two PKR assemblymen said to be aligned with former party deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali are scheduled to hold a press conference at noon Tuesday (May 12), according to sources.

Azman Nasrudin (Lunas) and Dr Robert Ling Kui Ee (Sidam) will hold their press conference at the Sidam service centre.

Speculation is rife that both politicians, also known as the "kartel" in PKR, will jump ship and subsequently topple Pakatan Harapan’s Bersatu-led state government.

There are 36 state seats in Kedah, with 19 held by the current coalition comprising PKR (seven), Bersatu (six), Amanah (four) and DAP (two).

PAS and Umno have 15 and two seats respectively.

It will take only two seats for the new state government to take shape.
