Mohamed Mustafa Ishak is new Higher Education DG


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Mustafa Ishak is the new Higher Education director-general.

He began his term Monday (May 4), replacing Datuk Dr Siti Hamisah Tapsir who was promoted to Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change Ministry (now Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry) secretary-general.

Dr Mohamed Mustafa received his appointment letter from Higher Education secretary-general Datuk Seri Dr Mazlan Yusoff, according to a post on the ministry’s official Facebook page.

He was previously the vice-chancellor of Universiti Utara Malaysia and Malaysian Examinations Council (MPM) chairman.
