Cops ready to issue compounds to MCO violators, but waiting for official decision


KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Aman accepts the government's policy to issue compound notices to those who violate the movement control order (MCO) as it is in accordance with Section 25 of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988.

Bukit Aman CID director Comm Datuk Huzir Mohamed however added that the police were still waiting for an official decision on the matter.
