Burglars break into community hall, steal food stored for MCO and air-cons

BUKIT MERTAJAM: Burglars broke into the Alma Village Community Management Council hall here and fled with food supplies stored during the movement control order (MCO) period.

In a police report lodged by Machang Bubuk assemblyman Lee Khai Loon's office, it was said that the side door of the hall was discovered broken at about 1pm Friday (April 3).

"Checks found 59 bags of rice, 40 cans of sardines, 30 packs of instant noodles, 30 packs of vermicelli, 10 trays of eggs and 30 bags of various biscuits have gone missing.

"Three air-conditioners along with their compressor units were also missing," it said

Investigations are ongoing.
