SHAH ALAM: There will be no Ramadan bazaars in Selangor this year, says Mentri Besar Amirudin Shari.
He added there would be other venues to purchase required items for the festive season.
“I believe there will be online Ramadan bazaars that will offer delivery,’’ Amirudin told reporters after announcing the state’s second stimulus package on Wednesday (April 1).
The decision follows four districts in Selangor – Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak and Klang – being declared red zones due to a high number of Covid-19 cases in these areas.
Hulu Langat has since been placed under an enhanced movement control order with the district’s border being locked down.
However, Amirudin added that the current ban due to the Covid-19 pandemic may be lifted, but this would depend on the Health Ministry’s stand on the matter.
