Mystery benefactor donates RM148,000 machine to detect Covid-19

SIBU (Bernama): A big-hearted individual donated a machine worth RM148,000 to the Clinical Research Centre at Hospital Sibu to be used for testing to detect Covid-19.

The donation from the anonymous benefactor was made through Sarawak Assistant Minister for Education, Science and Technological Research, Dr Annuar Rapa’ee, who handed over the machine, known as the ‘Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Detection System’, to hospital director Dr Mohamad Ng Siah Huat in a brief ceremony here on Thursday (March 26).
