50% off on traffic summonses in conjunction with Police Day … but online only

PETALING JAYA: Motorists with traffic summonses can look forward to a 50% discount on their penalties in conjunction with the 213rd Police Day celebration.

Bukit Aman Traffic Investigations and Enforcement Department director Deputy Comm Datuk Azisman Alias (pic) said motorists can enjoy the discount when they settle their summonses online from March 25-29.

“We decided on this measure to help Malaysians better adhere to the movement control order (MCO), ” he said.

Comm Azisman added that summons payment counters nationwide have been closed since the two-week order aimed at curbing the spread of Covid-19 took effect on March 18.

He said the discount only applies to summonses for certain traffic offences and online payments can be made through www.myeg.com.my or www.rilek.com.my.
